Who are we?
MOPS (Mothers Of Pre Schoolers) is an international organisation with over 4000 groups worldwide. MOPS has been operating in Australia for twenty years, encouraging and equipping young mothers to become the best mum they can be. At MOPS every mum is welcomed, accepted and challenged to reach her potential and grow in relationships. Each MOPS group is run by local mums, backed by a chartering church and supported by MOPS Australia.
What makes MOPS different?
- Through the ups and downs of motherhood, no one better understands what it takes to be a mum than other mums.
- MOPS is a community of women who meet together to feel supported, encouraged and equipped. Remarkable things happen when mums come together.
- Mums face unique needs, challenges and joys in this vital season of early mothering. At MOPS every mum is welcomed, accepted and encouraged to reach her potential and recognize her influence with her family and her world.
- So, whether you are a soon-to-be mum, first-time mum or seventh-time mum, you are welcome here. You will meet new friends, hear speakers on relevant topics, learn new skills, gain confidence in mothering and enjoy a coffee whilst its still hot!
- And all this happens child-free! While mums engage with the MOPS program, their babies and little kids enjoy on-site care and age-appropriate activities in MOPS Kids.
What about the kids?
MOPPETS is our pre-schoolers program. Dedicated carers look after the children in a separate area, providing for a range of age appropriate activities as well as songs and stories. All carers hold a Working with Children Card.
