About Reach
Reach Community Church is non-denominational. Its congregation is filled with peoples of different backgrounds, cultures, nationalities and professions coming together as one. It is a fun, friendly and faith-filled fellowship. The church has a strong emphasis in biblical preaching and teaching. It is an equipping church with classes aimed at the development of the saints to be effective Christians within and outside the church. An extension of this being the cell groups where the saints are encouraged to be a part to be nurtured or trained as leaders. It has also a focus to see revival come to The Church of our Lord Jesus Christ. Reach Community Church is committed to local and overseas missions in fulfillment of The Great Commission.
Its Birth
Its first service commenced on Sunday, 9 June 2002.
Its Vision
To be a church that Exalts Jesus, Equips its people, and Extends into the communities to transform cities and nations.
Its Name
Why the name REACH? We want to Reach Jesus—-Reach The People—-Reach The Communities
Its Service
The Sunday Celebration Service has a focus to touch everyone in body, soul and spirit. It has a Jesus-centred feature with the power of God’s Presence in the worship, the power of God’s Word in the preaching, and the power of God’s Love in the fellowship so that all saints be impacted wholistically.
Its Ministry and Government
The core of the church is that everyone is to be Ministers of The Gospel. Everyone is called to serve The Lord, The Church and be the salt and light to the world. The Church operates with a Team of Elders and Deacons. Its affiliations are with Ministers Fellowship International (MFI) and Melbourne Pastors Network (MPN).
Its Equipping Program
Besides its Cell Group Program, there is a curriculum titled STEP, an acronym for Saints Training and Equipping Program. This is a strategic plan where believers are taken through a series of lessons and teachings to be grounded and established to become strong saints matured for ministries. Most lessons are conducted as 1-hour sessions conducted over a 15-week Semester. There is even a class catering for children from 3 years to 12 years. STEP Classes are opened to other churches as well.
Its Investments
Financially the congregation sows at least 10% of its Tithes and Offerings into the support of other Ministries, Ministers and Missions outside of its church. It partners with other churches to extend The Kingdom of God. The Pastor leads a CBD Pastors’ Prayer Network as well as coordinates a Campus Christian Group for the larger Body of Christ.
